HMS Middle School Softball:

• Competing in the 210 Middle School Athletic League against local middle schools.

• Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with a competitive team of 15-20 players.

• Tryouts are held, and all students are encouraged to try out, regardless of experience.

• Practices on M-W, with possible Thursdays, from 3:00 - 5:15 p.m.

• Games are scheduled on various dates, mostly on Thursdays.

• Goals include competing for a league title and preparing players for high school-level sports.

• Coaches expect 100% commitment from players to the travel program.

• Violations may lead to suspensions, reduced playing time, or removal from the program.

• Expectations and commitments will be outlined in a team meeting and parent meeting.

• Tryout criteria include demonstrating skills in hitting, throwing, catching, and understanding various positions and strategies on the field.
